Total Shit Mood

Lunch with my husband helped a little. I am just down. Can't explain it really.

My daughter said last night that she doesn't like school anymore. I guess I should get used to these comments, she is only 5 and her sister is 2yrs behind.

It just makes me so sad. I loved school why I was her age, even though like her I was shy. I wish I knew how I could make it a more positive experience for her.

I'm joining a web ring, no it isn't like a cult or anything ;-)

Don't know if they will let me in or not, but I placed their link on the left with the others. Found some cool Momblogs though, which is nice. So something has been gained already. Sometimes when you realize that we are all struggling together, it makes it easier to accept.

Ha ha I must've saved this instead of publishing. I checked my blog to view and it wasn't there and I got super pissy (kinda like when my migration to the new domain didn't appear to work).
Anyway here it is, false alarm (sigh).

My enjoyment of school can be condensed into the second and third year then my final two years between 16 and 18. It's not that I found learning hard. It's more to do with bullying and the fact that a lot of the learning was dull, specifically taught in a dull way.

Dunno, maybe she's bored or maybe she's finding it hard. Time to chat with the teacher.

We've chatted. I do believe you are right that she is a little bored. Unfortunately if she is bored, they won't add anything to challenge her until the first grade. It's also that she is just very quiet in social situations, hopefully that will ease as she gets older.

All I can think of is what I use to do, I use to take a little notebook with me and when we were given "activity time" when we could spend some time doing what we wanted, or at breaktime, I use to draw and write. Worked for me.
