Easter Brunch

I had a really good weekend. Friday wasn’t so great, I went to the grocery store at 10:00 and drove home with 20’ visibility and horrible roads. On Sat I took the kids to Dunkin’ Donuts before dance class so I could by some of their ground coffee, which is awesome, for Easter brunch which I was hosting. After Dance we dropped off overdue books, and then I came back home and cleaned until midnight. The house really needed it and I love having things tidied up.

Sunday the kids got up by about 7:20 or so. They hunted their baskets and eggs, then we had some leisure time, then it was time to get cracking again. We had my in laws over for brunch. I was getting worried that nobody would make it to our house since we got over 2 feet of snow. But thankfully, my mother and sister in law showed up right on time as usual. We had a baked French toast, a Quiche Lorraine, some fresh fruit, muffins, deviled eggs, Dunkin’ Donuts coffee. It was great. The kids got tons of stuff for Easter and they were especially sweet all weekend.

Then a nap. Aaaahhhhhh. Next we went to my moms for dinner which was Prime Rib, one of my favs. I don’t know why on earth I was still awake at 11:00, but I am tired today. It was worth it though. It was one of the most relaxing enjoyable holidays I have had in a while.

Today when I asked my older daughter if I had told her that her aunt really liked the birthday gifts we had given her she said, “Like a hundred times”. I hid my laughter, since that was pretty rude, but I still thought it was funny because I know I repeat myself a lot. But I was really glad my sister liked the music I bought her…

Yes, I know my blog is boring, but my life is actually quite fulfilling.
