My centennial
Lots to sum up.
Thanksgiving, it felt like a non-holiday. It wasn't warm, there weren't a lot of people around, I didn't eat all that much. It couldn't have felt less like a holiday. It kinda bummed me out. Sometimes I am very envious of my friends who have lots of family, or are closer to their extended families. There wasn't much say in it for me. My parents set the tone and it all kinda deteriorated over time. But we haven't had a thanksgiving with any extended family since the time we went to Kentucky to see my Grandma in '85. I was very thankful to be at home as opposed to work. Very grateful for the long long weekend (which is almost over *sniff*)
Went out last night with Missy. She was featured here on the 'Halloween's past' Post somewhere around mid-October. We went to see Dave's Planet. It was so fun. I didn't drink a lot. I really enjoyed the people watching. When Missy and I go out (which only happens once or twice a year) we always laugh a lot. This was extreme, I kept walking away because my stomach was hurting so bad and I couldn't take anymore. Unlike Emma, we stayed until the lights came on (2:30 here in NE Ohio). It was a riot. I got to sleep real close to 3:00am. Very very tired now. But at least not hung over which would be worse.
Luke showed up. He was in very good spirits. Also ran into Pazz a coworker of mine. He hung out with us for a good part of the night. Damn I cannot rememeber the last time I laughed like that. Poor Luke wasn't drinking at all and the rest of us wondered how he managed to put up with our nonsense. But honestly I would've had a ball without even the beers. It was awesome. And then, at the bar in the wee hours, with the music, the laughter, the smoke and all that, my shoulders descended, just for a little while. The tension had gone out of my shoulders. I noticed in the middle of the night though that it was back!
Thanks for reading my 100th post. Leave a comment :-)

Holy crap, my right ear is still ringing.
Don't forget, I have alot of sober experience dealing with drunkards! It was a blast!
Oh...and,
No bruises on my arm! Weekling. :-P
Wow 100 posts. Congratulations.
Sorry to hear your Thanksgiving was a bit flat. You could always invite me over for next year. That's a dead cert for a fun ol time.
It could have been worse, you could have come to my Brother's for his Birthday...
What happened with your brother's birthday? Maybe I better read your blog...
Luke, does it hurt? Hmmmm?
Nevah!!!
Congrats on your 100th post!
Am I to assume that descending shoulders are a good thing?
Hello Le Flash. I must've been on a desert island after all, I only found out who Best was after reading Emmas blog. I don't even know who the American athletes are and you want me to know Bristish Soccer (football) players? Not gonna happen. Plus, I wasn't even born yet when Best was at his best. Sorry for the passing of one of your greats. Thanks for stopping in!
Flash agrees with me, that you are indeed hot. Think we may have to start a club.
Well, I popped in to say congrats on the 100th post. I won't make you feel bad by telling you I'm nearly done on the second blog and wondering if that should be it for me... oops. Oh well...
Might be good to retire though - if only I could get Brain and Fingers to agree...
I suppose I wouldn't blame you for not knowing Best, except that he did spend a fair time playing American 'soccer' too. But if you told me an American 'Footballer' (that doesn't use his feet, grrr) had just died, I wouldn't have a clue who you were talking about. Or a Baseballer, Basketball player... well, frankly, for me, there is only one sport so what can I say!
But then I noticed this has turned into a non-singles bar! Hehehe...
You know what I find amusing? Before you read me, you weren't even prepared to say which state you lived in. And now you have photos up and admirers from across the globe! What a dodgy legacy I leave, eh! ;-) Hehehe...
All true,
But in the name of privacy, I haven't said where I live (the city in my profile is close but not where i live),
I don't call my hubby by name (easier to find me if you know that)
I don't post pictures of my kids or use their names.
I am still pretty paranioid.
You won't quit blogging, you may pull a pynchon but that's as far as you go.
I'll be very sad if you don't email me the new address!!!
Nobody (hardly anyone) in the US follows american soccer. The only pro soccer player( aside from Best of course) that I can name is Pelee (and I probably misspelled it).
How bout these names Joe Namath, Joe Montana (I use these bc not only are they famous, but nice to look at as well)?
A bunch of my friends follow it. They actually televised a MSL championship game a few weeks ago.
I have been ducking and diving, wheeling and dealing, so somehow managed to miss your 100th.
Belated congratulations, anyway...
"Pulling a Pynchon". Oooh. I like that. I'm famous.
Hi old friend,
I saw your message on my blog. I think you are a great writer and love to read your stories, they are very descriptive. Hope all is well for your family.
MJ
Fluke, Thanks!
Glenn, I agree fully!
Pynchon, glad you like to hear your name in vein, and thanks!
MJN- glad to know you are reading/enjoying my blog!!! We are well, how the hell are you??
Sorry, and LeFlash, descending shoulders are a very very good thing!
