Short Day
Well I am working a short day, gotta go sign some papers at 11:30. Then me and the hubby are going to have lunch, and then head to the schoolhouse and talk to my daughter's teacher. I don't really know what to expect. We talked about in the fall how she should participate more, speak more loudly and move faster (she backs the line up bc she is so slow). We got a report card in January. Basically if she wasn't so reserved she would've gotten a perfect card. The problems were all temperment related. We already told her teacher that we feel her temperment is being graded, and that most of it was just born into her. So I am wondering what we will learn today. I'm hoping that she contrasts the fall to now, and points out some improvement, but this might be wishful thinking.
I lost whatever weight I gained on my business trip. I was overfed for sure. I didn't weigh myself when I got back (out of fear) but I did this morning and I am the same as when I left. Whew, not that it's ideal, but thank goodness it wasn't higher...
Yesterday, I stayed home. My 3 year old was sick. Turns out she was at her worst on Monday night, so I planned just to stay home on Tuesday. Well, she seemed slightly better yesterday, and I made sure she got extra rest and fluids. Today she seems almost back to herself.

There's no way I can't gain weight on my upcoming trip. I'm gone for a full month with a break to come home for Easter (Holiday food). I might have to order an extra seat on the plane for my fat ass!
You want to gain weight though, right?
Yea, a little. I think the best and healthiest way to do it is to gain muscle though. I should lift weights or something.
I don't think the hotel has a gym. If it did, it would consist of a broken treadmill for sure. The plant, on the other hand, has a really nice work out center. They said I could use it if I wanted.
Kids react to schooling in different ways, especially if they find it challenging or easy. I got bored at school because some things I found easy, and the rest was just plane boring and so I tried hard at the fun stuff and ignored the rest. My brother worked hard his whole life and is so up tight now that people mistake him for my Dad.
My point? Ignore the teacher and listen to your daughter, she's the one with the "temperment" so she'll have some notion, not matter how inarticulate that may be, as to why.
Don't forget The Office tonight.
Inarticulate, that's a good one. If there is anything in the world she isn't, that would be it. Her reading skills are awesome, and her vocabulary would rival most teen bloggers for sure. She is very well spoken, it's just that in a group she gets quiet. Not the end of the world I think. But you are right, I have decided we will keep encouraging her, but we cannot change her nature.
