Hit a Wall!!

Today is really only my first day of this trip (first day working on site that is) and already I hit the wall. I got a bad headache and was totally tired by 5:30. So by six I left the plant and got some dinner.
I was sitting in my cube at the plant, those guys knock of early (course they are all there by 6 or 7) so I was all alone before 5:00. I got kinda spooked. I kept thinking that when the dude came in to empty the trash, he would notice that we were the only people in that building. So that thought, the headache and the exhaustion got me moving out the door.
I got back here by 7, called my family (so sweet) then took the longest shower I've had since we moved to the country (well and septic system not too friendly for long hot showers). It was nice. I shaved and I washed everything obsessively, I like the soap here. Then I dried my hair, and pumiced my wintery dry feet. Now I'm all soft and moisturized. I feel good, but the bags under my eyes are making me look like someone else, someone older, someone who drives a pt cruiser? Anyway I hope I sleep a bit more soundly tonight, I did my 'wake up and look at the clock' thing roughly every hour, at one -something I thought it was morning.
So I get free breakfast buffet in my hotel, and last time that was fine, but today the scrambled eggs had a disticnt petroleum aftertaste!!! One bite did me in. So tomorrow I will probably just eat a bowl of ceral and my coffee.
Saw a cool bird today, but I don't know if I got a good enough look to indentify him (or her). Reminded me a of killdeer only seemed bigger (may have been fluffed against the cold). Note, Pt Cruiser drives like shit in 5" of snow (on unplowed Indiana roads). I almost drove off the road (and I am no stranger to snow).
Ah in case you were wondering, Fanny Flagg is the one who wrote Fried Green Tomatoes. I got up the energy to read the jacket of the book in my room. It's called "Welcome to the World Baby Girl". Don't know if I'm into it though.
I just finished reading the 'Traveler Safety Tips' leaflet in my room. They didn't think of anything I hadn't already. I am so paranoid. I found a parking spot not too far off the main lobby again. I did that last night too, I'm just not walking out at 6:30 or 7:00 am alone through the back entry, or coming back late alone, with a laptop and my purse for the pickin'. I'm such a freak I will deliberately pass my room if anyone is around so that they can't a) force their way in, or b) find out where I am staying and stalk me. Why would anyone do either of these things? How in the hell would I know, but it happens all the time. I've seen many forensic files and new detective shows about murders and or rapes that occured in hotels. Shouldn't be thinking about this if i'm going to try and sleep tonight...
I know, I know, I'm a dork.
Well I think I'm going to read my Sanford novel for a bit. Thanks to everyone for checking in with me, it's helping pass the time :-)

So what would you do if someone is lurking in the hall? Do you go back to the lobby, wait a while, then go up again?

Might as well jump in with both feet on the PT Cruiser deal... fashion a vanity plate out of a styrofoam 'to go' box that says something unoriginal like

"JUS CRUZN", or perhaps

"I WENT OUT SHOPPING FOR AN IDENTITY AND ALL I COULD FIND WAS THIS PILE OF SHIT".

(Don't worry, you're allowed an unlimited number of letters on fake personalized plates on out of state rental cars.)

Good nite!

A) I cannot comment on a defunt blog,
B) When I was online all alone last night, I tried to comment on yours and Heather's blog, but blogger comments were down. I think I did comment on Heather's but that might have been two days ago.
I love that blog name for Julies fictional blog.
