I'm back

I'm still not sure what to do with my blog. Me and the hubby are doing great. He's very sweet, when he wants to be.
Anyway, I was attempting to make some pasta tonight, when I found that the brand new box that I bought last night was bug infested! Ewwww. The good news is, since it only spent less than a day in my pantry, I don't think they migrated into any of the other pasta products. Yuck. There were enough of the little buggers in there that I was them right after I added the pasta to the boiling water. Yuck. Don't know how much I'm going to enjoy dinner after that. At least they weren't larve, they were something adult and smallish, and I've only ever seen them in pasta. Barf!
Going to Heather's tonight for a lipstick party. No, it isn't anything kinky, and lesbians aren't involved. She knows someone who sells Mary Kay cosmetics, it's that kind of party. I love lipstick, I bet I have over 80 of them! I'm broke though, so I should practice self-control.
I also have a date with my husband, tomorrow. I'll be happy if it's 1/2 as good as Pynchon's date of last week.
Work has been super tough the last month. I think I'm getting the carpel tunnel syndrome! But finally the customers have gone home and the job is slowing a bit. Nobody has said, thanks for working so hard and doing all the mark-ups so quickly. Never on a project have I felt so unloved.
When I work with other people, they are usually more appreciative.
So I bought this fabulous cheese dip to take over to Heather's house. I tried a free sample last week at the store and I haven't been able to get it out of my mind since!
Since the pasta was buggy, I had to resort to cooking the remnants of three different pastas. All of which will require different amounts of cook time. None of which I can find on the packages. So I am adding them one by one, based on how long they look like they might need to be boiled. Thank goodness I'm not having company. I feel like Bridget Jones with her blue soup.
I've just read 2 awesome books. I'd recommend them both, but I think one is more for the techie type, and the other is almost a chic novel (and it isn't a romance either).
Book one is Ender's Game. That's the techie one. It was written in 1977 and is futuristic.
Book two is called Life Expectancy. I think it is fairly new and is a Dean Koontz novel. I have read probably 15 books by this man, and this one was very different from any of them. I seriously need to catch up with the blogs and do the MEME. I love that term and only just learned it today!

Glad to see your back and feeling better! Hope the date goes well. And as for what to do with the blog... stick around a little longer - there could be fireworks or fire and brimstone coming... If you get no appreciation at work, at least you know you get it in Blogland...

eww, about the bugs in the pasta.. and I had some last night, hope I didn't ingest any hidden bugs... this seems to be a fairly common problem.
