Summer Stuff
Finally we are getting a new mattress! Whew. I am sending in a check (for delivery) and a release form. And then I wait. I had a horrible night of sleep because my six year old slept in my room so that my husband could sleep on a decent mattress. We’ve used this arrangement a lot lately. She grinds her teeth, thrashes around. She even woke me in the middle of the night to talk. I have no clue what we talked about. I can’t wait until my husband is back to normal, and we have a decent place to sleep. That will be great.

As I think I mentioned in an earlier post Heather has left my place of employment. She had scheduled her ‘retirement’ for the end of this month but it moved up after her child-care provider’s basement was flooded. Talk about biblical rains! Anyway her last day here was Friday. It was a fun day, but so profoundly sad. Work will never ever be the same. I mean, yeah the work is the same, but the feeling of coming here isn’t. Just to amplify this, Luke is on vacation all week and so my loneliness is that much worse. We had a great run of 10 years together. I know we'll always be friends, but having her here everyday to work with, chat with, and laugh with, that's the part I'm going to miss. Not everyone is lucky enough to ever have a friend like Heather (much less such a great co-worker). I consider myself lucky because I have a few very close friends like h

Had a fun weekend. Heather’s last hurrah made for a great Friday evening. I didn’t stay out that late, but I had so much fun. We had a friend over for dinner on Saturday and then he rode along with us to check out some hot rods later. On Sunday we took the kids and their little bikes to a trail for a ride. Then later I took them to kmart. I’ve been searching for some normal dress shoes for my 1st grader. I find it odd that everyone carries 1-2 inch heels and clogs and what not, but it’s getting hard to find a sturdy-soled dress shoe for a kid who is six! Kmart though had a great selection. They had at least 6 or 8 styles in her size that were acceptable to me.
I'm guessing that without Heather, I'll be blogging a bit more.

I commented on H's blog that she should post the lyrics to the Rio song.
Ha I don't think H reads that!
OK, you should then.
So you are still around, then?
Hi, I guess I should start checking blogs again! My day to day life will never be the same without you either! We look cute.
Yes I'm still around, and no, not blogging more I guess. Well I'm busy this week. I have customers next week. We'll see what happens after that.
It wasn't a family member I'm sure of that.
That family was tried and convicted in the media and of all people Glenn, I would think you would want them to be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
I've watched one or two of the documentaries that showed the things the media refused to report, because of course those items pointed away from their most sensational story.
Very sad!
There was forced entry in the basement window.
They would be able to tell by comparing jon bonet's dna to the samples under her nails if one of her parents were involved.
They were treated horrible by the local law enforcement, who allowed neighbors and extended family to wander throughout the residence the day of the crime.
And also I do belive that the alarms were not activated, this from one of the documentaries.
Yes the police said a lot of things that sounded bad for the ramseys, but the press never publicized all the mistakes and untruths that came out in the first few weeks.
